Acid Reflux syndrome occurs when our stomach starts producing too much gastric acid in course of digestion after having meal. If we regularly intake fast food like pizza burger patties at cetera that impact our digestive system and as result our stomach starts producing excessive gastric acid. When it starts occurring regularly the acidic content of the stomach starts impacting the stomach and the oesophagus region. As a result, the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) that is located at the joining of stomach and oesophagus starts getting loose leaving a gap between the stomach and oesophagus.

The acidic food content now starts flowing upwards through that gap into the oesophagus area and sometimes even up to the throat area.

It may result in occurrence of burping and regurgitation and also can make a very uneasy sensation in the chest area which is called heartburn. The entire syndrome is called Acid Reflux syndrome and all together the disease is termed as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease or GERD.

Acid Reflux syndrome is mainly considered as an outcome of lifestyle disorders mainly the irregularities of having food in proper time as well as wrong induction of food.
